Invertebrates (The Dr. Binocs Show | Learn Videos For Kids)

Invertebrates animals do not have a backbone.

This year we are going to focus on arthropods and molluscs.

Arthropods molluscs and worms are invertebrates.

Arthropods have a segmented body and limbs with joints. Their body has three parts: head, thorax and abdomen. Many have antennae and some have wings. They have external armour that protects their bodies called an exoskeleton. Insects (beetles and bees) are arthropods.

Look at this chart:
Molluscs are invertebrates. They have a soft body and some have a shell. Many have tentacles. They live in water or moist places.

Worms have a long, soft body. They live on land or others live in water. Some worms are parasites: they live inside, or on the skin of, another aniamal and feed on them.

Watch this video as Dr. Binocs takes you through the world of Invertebrates, which is an important part of the Animal kingdom.

Mammals | Educational Video for Kids

There are all kinds of different mammals on the planet. Dogs , dolphins and bats are mammals, but they look very different. All mammals are vertebrates.

These are some MAMMALS FACTS:
  • All mammals are viviparous, except for monotremes, which are oviparous
  • Mammals can be carnivores, herbivores or omnivores.
  • Baby mammals drink their mother's milk until they can find their own food.
  • All mammals breathe with their lungs
  • Most mammals have fur or hair.
  • Most mammals have four legs and move on land, but mammals have flippers to move in water.

Elephants, bats, and dolphins are mammals.

Echidnas are monotremes. Monotremes are oviparous mammals. They live in parts of Australia and New Guinea:
